Design for Events-Based Interactions.

Deutsche Bank needed a way for sales, traders and mid-office teams to create, capture and recieve alerts on market movement and trade-based transactions. I took a hands-on role in the concept creation and ideation of what would become a favorite app on the trading floor and lead to a multi-million dollar design and development budget.

Alerts and context-based functionality are the core of an events-driven-interaction design strategy whereby associated alert functions can trigger modules of, and/or entire applications as needed. Trader feedback was that the alerts platform was a game changer and the go-to app on the trading floor. This success led to a multi-million dollar budget to extend the design and functionality of the alerts platform into new areas across DB.

While I took a hands-on role in the initial concept creation and ideation, my core responsibility for the Deutsche Bank alerts platform was overall ux and creative direction of a cross-disciplined design team. My main focus was on a higher-level design strategy of discovering, defining and designing holistic relationships between the DB Alerts platform and other Deutsche Bank systems with the goal of creating measurable revenue opportunities based on events driven interactions.
